| Goheimochi is a kind of rice cake made from rice powder, which is grilled with a special saurce made principally from soy saurce and walnut. It has been a popular attraction at events in the Tono (Eastern Gifu) district since ancient times. |

| Hoba miso is a local speciality which is often served at hotels in the Hida district. Leaks, mushrooms and special miso are placed on a sun-dried Hoba leaf and grilled on a charcoal fire. The scent of Hoba leaf and the taste of fragrant miso excite the appetite. |

| There are many sake (rice wine) breweries in Gifu Prefecture from way back. Gifu fulfills the conditions of delicious brewing, such as severe winter, flourishing rice making and beautiful water. You can enjoy various flavors from different places. |
