| Gero Spa has a history of more than 1000 years and is one of the three most famous spas in Japan. There is a legend that Bhaisajyaguru (a Buddhist image) transformed himself into an egret and told people of the source of this Spa. |

| Yumeguri Tegata |

| There's a ticket called "Yumeguri tegata". This allows you to bathe three times at a choice of 29 spas in Gero. The ticket is sold at many places including Inns, souvenir shops and convenience stores. |

| Gero Spa Gassho-mura Village |
| Gero Onsen Gassho-mura is a treasured collection of ten gassho-style houses transferred from Shirakawago; a conservation area in Gifu Prefecture listed as a World Cultural Heritage site. The houses have been converted into museums to provide visitors with historical information about local life. At "Mingei-no sato", visitors can experience traditional handcrafts (paper making and ceramics) and traditional food. |

| Nakayama-shichi-ri |
| Nakayama-shichiri is a 22km long beautiful canyon running from Gero Spa to Hidakanayama. There are many strange shaped rocks having some legends connected to them. The road is said to have been made by Nagachika Kanamori, Lord of Hida Takayama Sengoku era (1467- 1568). Visitors can enjoy a variety of scenery including azaleas in the spring and a large range of autumnal tints. In the summer you can enjoy ayu, a sweet smelt fish. |
